Paloma Valley Athletics is an educationally based athletic program that values the growth and development of our student athletes. We will assess our programs and their success based on the 7 Cs of Coaching Credibility, and our P.R.I.D.E. These are our core values. We expect athletes and parents to embrace and support these values. Doing so is to show Paloma PRIDE. (When the term parent is used, we mean to refer to any adult that is responsible for, and raising a student athlete. We do not strictly mean biological parent.)

  • Parents will have athletes to organized team activities on time, and pick them up in a timely manner after

  • Parents will clearly communicate scheduling conflicts with coaches in advance while understanding the student athlete’s commitment to the program

  • Parents will follow the district policy for travel to and from contests with the team. Going home separately is only for extenuating circumstances

  • Parents will refrain from passing judgement on coaches or officials and voicing that judgement to their child. Such behavior puts the student athlete in a no win situation and does not support student development

  • Parents will refrain from passing judgement on all student athletes and voicing that judgement to their child. This behavior does not support student development

  • Parents will represent Paloma Valley High School, the Perris Union High School District, and the City of Menifee in a positive, supportive manner that everyone can be proud of

  • Parents will honestly provide feedbackto the athletic department about our programs focusing on student development and the 7 Cs of Coaching Credibility

  • Parents will not approach coaches before, during, or after contests to discuss issues. Parents will make an appointment to meet with the varsity head coach about any issues. All discussions about lower level teams should start with the head varsity coach

  • Parents will not take on the role of agent, manager, director, or coach. Parents have the most important role, and that is being a parent. Please focus on the role of being a parent, and be great at it

  • Parents will honor and support the commitment that their child has made to the team, and our school. The commitment to the program may cause family plans to have to be altered, but we value collective responsibility and need parental support of those values

  • Parents will support programs and fully participate to the best of their abilities. Parents are ALL IN
