Joe Rodriguez has been part of our Perris High School family since 2006. He started his journey as a science teacher and then became an ASB Director for 10 years. For the last 3 years, he has been a school counselor. His experience as an ASB director and his ability to tap into his students' leadership abilities have helped him bring out the best in students, which he can still do as a counselor. Mr. Rodriguez is being recognized as the Perris Union High School District's Counselor of the Year for his unwavering commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where all students can thrive. With a deep sense of empathy and compassion, Joe demonstrates genuine care and concern for the well-being of every student he serves. His strong communication skills and cultural competence enable him to connect effectively with parents, teachers, administrators, and students from diverse backgrounds. A skilled problem-solver, Joe collaborates to find solutions for academic, social, and emotional challenges, all while balancing numerous responsibilities. His adaptability and patience allow him to address the unique needs of each individual, ensuring that no student is left behind.
